Hello everyone,

we added a new 3D-printer for coextruding PA6 and carbon fiber rovings to our lab equipment. Since we do not have any material data regarding this kind of manufacturing method we decided to start a new design of experiments for the AITM 1 0007 standard. This way we should be able to generate some mechanical properties.

However we have not simulated multiple carbon roving path in a PA6 matrix before, therfore I would like to ask you if there are some reasonable approaches regarding this matter?

In order to visualize the problem I attached some pictures from the slicer software Aura 2 so that you can get a grasp about the fiber architecture. As seen in the image, the black lines represent the carbon fiber rovings. The blue lines are the thermoplastic extrusion paths during the printing process.
