Dear Users,

I have encountered a small problem regarding my simulation. Hence I would like to find a solution to my problem [see point g.)]by providing the following scenario as well as the critical file in the upload section:

a.) The model which I am currently working at contains a root airfoil section (without the engines and other electrical components).

b.)This model should is being loaded with an area load on the outer airfoil alumina skin. The goal is to obtain a critical stress level which leads to a guaranteed failure only in the outer section.

c.) Within the alumina airfoil skin there are a total of four components to reinforce the skin section.

d.) The sections contain an UD lamina (named "Laminat" in the file), a wood component (named "Balsaholz" in the file), a steel stringer (named "Stahlstringer" in the file ) and finally a filling with styrol foam to fill the missing volume

e.) All components except the lamina are given elastic properties for an easy calculation

f.) All components are being constraint with the "tie" attribute in order to kill every kinematic momevent within the outer alumina skin.

g.) Problem: If I load my airfoil with different loads ranging from 1 to 1500 KN with the NLgeom option turned off, I always get the same displacement and coloring in the visualisation menu regardless with the current load. This led my to a old thumb rule that NLgeom shoulb be turned an if the strains exceed more then 5 % (in theory). However once I run the simulations with the mentioned load range I always get the same error due to the maximum attempt of calculating an increment.

Therefore I would like to see a simulation with the NL geom option turned on without a calculation abortion in the job simulation. Since You all are far more experienced than me I would like to get an opinion from you regarding this matters. Me and my peers are also discussing this problem since they also encounter some issues regarding the NL geom problem.
