There has been several published research articles on ethanol production from seaweeds. Do a literature search on this, you will be amazed on the results you will obtain. You can think on a better methodology for higher efficiency and ethanol yields.

firtst  crushed the seaweed and made into mash with water  and treat  with  saccharifying  enzymes  at specified temp. in a mashing process to achieve starch conversion .extract the soluble and sterilized it then cool and inoculate with top yeast and ferment to 5 to7 days after which you distil at 78 degrees for etanol
