Ultem material has the melting point is 426 degree Celsius. Is it possible to print Ultem material in FDM 3D printer. I am having Creality Ender 3Max type FDM printer. Is any other printers can print Ultem material?
Ultem is a material that can be printed by some FDM machines, however these are typically classed as high temperature FDM machines. The main differences being they have a heated chamber, heated build platform and increased nozzle temperature range.
It can be printed however not all standard FDM machines will have the capability required.
I've seen it done, but your Ender 3 will require multiple upgrades to reach the required temperatures, such as a heat reflecting enclosure, new bed, high temp nozzle, IR lamps for external heating... The print area gets so hot that the printer components have to be cooled.
With that in mind, plus the time to find the right settings, it may make more sense to use an external service with industrial printers capable of handling Ultem.
Ender 3 Max cannot print Ultem material. You need a high temperature hotend ( about 450-550 degree celcius) , heated bed and heated enclosed printer. There are many industrial grade printer in the market those are capable of printing Peek, ultem and other engineering grade polymer. And those are fff / fdm printer.
