I like to add sample based rarefaction curves to my diversity models, is this a better presentation using 95% confidence in the plot. can any one give reference to interpret the same.
Hi Sileesh, Could you explain a bit more about your data, the plot, and what your overall goals are?
From what you wrote, it seems that you have different sets of samples (perhaps a set of surveys from multiple study plots) and that you estimated rarefaction curves for each one. Now you want to do further analysis (your mention of models) with those estimates. Is that correct?
As I understand it, comparison of richness estimated from rarefaction must use the same number of individuals, effort, etc. I'm not sure what your data constraints are, but maybe non-parametric estimators (e.g. Chao1 and Chao2, etc.) might be a better choice for you?
