It depend on your application, there are different methods to prepare ZnO but question here is that what you want to achieve (your goal) ? then decide. For example, Synthesis of ZnO sol gel thin film involved different parameter
1) the nature of the precursor and its concentration, (2) the type of solvent and the acidity of the medium, (3) the type of additive species and their concentrations, (4) the aging time of the early mixture, (5) the method of coating of substrates and its speed, (6) the nature of the substrate, and (7) the pre- and post-heat treatment of the materials. all these parameters play a key role on the evolution of texture in zinc oxide films.
I'm not sure what you mean by ZnO 'solution'. Do you mean dispersion? Also not sure why you consider sonication as a mixing technique. If in water, ZnO will hydrolyze to Zn(OH)2. If you want a solution then dissolve your ZnO in hydrochloric acid. You'll no longer have ZnO but your material will be in solution.
Raphael Mmaduka Obodo sir I need to prepare ZnO for deposition on thin films. So most of the times I prepare it by sol-gel method but after deposition on substrate its not working properly so I am asking whether sonification in borosil while can affect my ZnO preparation or not?
Before getting the material how can you say that it is a ZnO solution. Use zinc nitrate and add sodium hydroxide or any other base. You may get ZnO solution then if you dry it you will get ZnO nanoparticles. Otherwise use the zinc nitrate with sodium hydroxide solution.
