In this paper, one-step template-free solution method was developed for the preparation of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOTs) by adjusting various ratios of oxidant (FeCl3·6H2O) to monomer (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT))..The polymerization was carried out in a templatefree alcoholic aqueous solution medium.
But, there is 14.2 wt.% EDOT alcoholic solution. I have to use EDOT aq. solution and I have monomer such as http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/product/aldrich/483028?lang=pl®ion=PL. Is there any possibility to prepare PEDOT on gold electrode using EDOT aq. solution and FeCl3 * 6 H2O ? I have experience in electropolymerization only but I have to prepare PEDOT by chemical polymerization.
you can prepare it through vapor phase polymerization.
