I am working on a research in which I have planned to use the PROCESS macross for SPSS. The problem is I am kind of confused since all the videos online about it seem to be a bit different from my data.
I have 4 different variables: 1 dependent, 1 independent, 1 moderator and one mediator (will use Process model number 7). The problem is my DV and IV are scales which include sub scales.
The DV is burnout: 3 sub scales (one of them includes reverse items)
The IV is Job crafting: 3 sub scales
the other 2 variables measure a single thing so I dont thing there is a need to do anything special to them but the question is.
For those questionnaires with sub scales, do I need to transform the data into a single set of data (using the transform variable option and calculating the means)? or is there any particular way to do things.
If any of you can give me a hand with this I will really appreciate it.

It depends on your research question(s) and your theoretical foundation(s).
However, for process you have to transform your one IV and DV.
If you are looking for your variables dimensions relationships you may go for SEM.
I got it, in fact the research questions do not include the subfactors, Ill try SEM as well to see how it turn out. Thanks a lot.
