I want to design a phase gradient metasurface in CST. So, I am referring to and trying to recreate the unit cell from the paper I attached below but I could not obtain the phase shift like in figure 3. The closest thing I could get is the S-Parameters of S21 but the result is totally different.
FYI, I set the boundary conditions using Electrical Field for x-direction, Magnetic Field for y-direction and Open (add space) for Z-direction. I use the Frequency domain and use waveguide ports, on the +Z and -Z side.
Fundamentally 90 phase shifter is build from a bridge of 2 interview resistors and capacitors

first method: By using S-paramters you can calculate:
Reflection: S11^2, Transmission: S21^2, Absorption: 1-S11^2-S21^2.
You need to export the result to an txt file (.txt) and then use Matlab to do this calculation and plot the results.
second method:
Transmission coefficient = S21
Reflection Coefficient = S11
Reflected power or energy = S11^2
Transmitted power = S21^2
