I am working on modeling an electric heating film with power 𝑃 integrated into a floor using COMSOL Multiphysics (2D model). I created a thin domain of 2 mm thickness to represent the electrical resistance (heating element) and applied a Heat Source corresponding to the specified power. However, the simulation results in unrealistically high temperatures in the heating layer and the floor. Could anyone advise on how to properly model the electric heating film in this configuration? Should I consider another boundary condition, heat transfer approach? Any guidance or references would be greatly appreciated!

part of the electric power produced by the flat heater goes upward and the rest of the power goes downward. After reaching the steady state, ratio of the heat fluxes becomes inversely proportional to the temperature differences divided by the thermal resistances on each of the sides.

Sorry, I mean that the heat fluxes ratio is PROPOPTIONAL to the temperature differences divided by the thermal resistances. In my paper they are inversely proportional to the thermal resistances because the temperature difference is the same for upper and lower directions.
