I am trying to model metal deposition by the welding process. The results from the previous load step will be the initial condition for the next load step. Following are the step adopted for the model:

You might already know this but, you need to match the file names with all other associated files. For example, in your error message, the filename is deposition_test.rth. In order to successfully run it, you need other associated files with the same name like: deposition_test.db, deposition_test.err, deposition_test.rst, deposition_test.stat, etc. If you changed the name in one of them, ANSYS may (most likely) will throw an error.

Thanks for the reply. All the files have the same name as you can see. I guess there is something wrong with the code, making some mistake somewhere.

As per your question, you are interested in a material deposition in a welding process. Your simulation tool is ANSYS. It is fine! Your interest is how to model it. My answer is that you can model it as a two-phase flow model using ANSYS APDL. Good luck!
Kumar Ujjwal As per your code, there is no command to change the default file name to a custom name (deposition_test), have you tried checking the time history with the default file name which is file.db, file.dbb, file.rth, etc. I see no wrong in the code that would result in that kind of error message. Please note that, if you changed the file names from one to another name even if you changed all of them to the same name, will still give you the error.
Also try checking to animate the result and if is showing correctly that means your code is recoding correctly the time part.
Hi Sapam Ningthemba Singh, I tried to animate the results, but it shows the still image of the last load step. I guess you are right; the code is not recording the time part.
