Hi, your method seems to be correct. With current data also you might be getting some force vs. cmod curve. However, to get a particular type of force vs. cmod curve (for eg. to match with an experiment) you will need to change parameters and may be softening behaviour also. This paper details the effect of shape for fracture behaviour. You might have already read this paper. If not, this will give you some insight. All the best.

I think you should specify which test you are modelling to better answer your question. In my knowledge the CZM is suitable to model interfacial cracks or in the cases where the path is known, therefore the parameters you entered are for the zero thickness elements of the interface or the expected path of the crack. To model the viscoelastic behavior you should use other features like shear modulus and bulk modulus using e.g. Prony series.

I am modelling DCT test on Asphalt concrete. Constitutive behavior of Asphalt is given using prony parameters. I am trying to validate the results of a thesis. Cohesive elements are placed along the expected crack path.. I dont know what is the reason for not getting softening behavior..
