You can define the material as Cast-Iron in ANSYS. It allows you to define not only different elastic modulii for both compression and tension but also different stress-strain curves for either compression or tension. Just be aware of the failure definition in the multi-axial. If you care only for elastic response, then thats your way to go.
same question here, using solidworks anyone have some ideas? A lot of people claim that it is stupid and you only need the youngs modulus and poisons ratio, but isn't the deformation directly depending on the youngs/compression modulus?
