I want to model arcing phenomenon in matlab. I want arc models in terms of voltage and current (or resistor). Can any one help me. Also normally what is arc duration during breakdown.

What is the application?
As a start, find attached a publication on a MATLAB/Simulink model for electric arcs. If you look through the references you may find similar work.
Basically, the arc can be model as a switch, so if the voltage across the terminals surpass a threshold the switch is closed and represents a short circuit. Of course you will find more complex models in the literature, the model you should use dependes on the application. Check this:

I developed an arc model for circuit more efficient than the Mayr type-models. It simulates the conditions of arc ignition in a circuit and it is easy to fit.
