I'm a beginner on the simulation software ANSYS HFSS. I need to know how to measure the size of the generated field of my simulation. I have simulated a geometry that looked like a microstrip line but using a TDR-technique, which means I supplied an Impulse on one end and left another end of the microstrip line open so that the impulse will be reflected on the open end. Hereby I include an attachment of the plotted electric field on the microstrip. My question is, is there a way to calculate(not manually) the size(width/height/length or x/y/z) of the plotted field? Is there a tab or windows with calculate field's function?

I don't understand what you mean by the "size of the field". The field exists to some extent everywhere in the solution space (excluding perfect conductors). There are places where it has a large magnitude and others where it can be considered negligible. You can plot the field in a plane or on a surface and then make a judgement as to where the field is small that you may decide to ignore.
Hi Mohamed K. Emara thank you for your answer and I understand what you mean. What I would like to say was, at a specific position and specific time, where the magnitude of the field is the biggest in size, is there any tools from ANSYS HFSS that could help me calculate automatically the magnitude size e.g at position x = 30mm and at time = 250 ps, where the magnitude is at its highest point, what are the x-,y-,z-size of the magnitude? Anyway thanks for your suggestion on the plane method :)
