Usually the goat/sheep farming is not done by people residing in the draught prone areas but the Shepherd's are from other areas who come to this area for feeding of sheep's . The sheep's/ goats are browsers and they get ample amount of short grasslands to feed in this area.
Therefore, the socio- economy of this region is not because of rearing of sheeps but to give their fields for feeding and in return they will get some money and fertilizers for their field. Some people from Dhangar community, are solely dependent on this profession.
You have to follow some parameters and methodology followed by economics and sociology people but as a geographer you can try to fit this on GIS platform to come out with a clear picture of this area.

The Cobb-Douglas equation can be used to analyse the impact of some production variables on productivity growth.
For Social Impact evaluation
This will identify and assess a project’s social impacts that are directly related to the project and propose measures to enhance potential positive impacts and strategies to avoid, manage, mitigate or offset the predicted negative project impacts. Components to be considered as part of an Social impact evaluation include:

housing and accommodation
local business and industry content
health and community well-being.

The purpose of the assessment is to ensure that decision makers consider the environmental impacts when deciding whether or not to proceed with a project. The International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) defines an environmental impact assessment as "the process of identifying, predicting, evaluating and mitigating the biophysical, social, and other relevant effects of development proposals prior to major decisions being taken and commitments made.
