I have prepared polymer solar cell on a ITO coated glass with the area of around 1 inch2. I am using four probe set up with sun simulator. The problem is when I am applying probes to the top electrodes, the film (solar cell) is use to scratch out. So I am unable to measure I-V.
Can you please suggest me some way to apply probes without affecting the film? How people working in organic solar cells do ?

In my sample, the top electrode is deposited with a part of It connecting to ITO, which should be seperated from bottom ITO electrode. The isulating channel between ITO and bottom ITO electrode has been pre-etched. So the probe is applied to ITO istead of top of active area.

Thank you for answer. If you can explain a little more, it would be helpful. Did you put both the probes on bottom electrode? What I am visualizing from your statement is , you extended the top electrode to ITO and separated it using some insulator. Is it right?
If you can share some picture of setup or some illustration, it would be really nice.

Dear Ankit,
It seems that your film is very fragile and easy to scratch. So as Lan said you can not apply directly your pressure contacted probe to the film.
The solution as proposed by Lan and i second him is to cut a strip of ITO along your substrate to get two isolated ITO areas and deposit all layers of the cell on one part except the last metal layer which is made to cover a portion of the other ITO area. In this way you can access your device by contacting it only on the two parts of the ITO.
You can also deposit a spot of silver epoxy with a fine wire attached to it and then access the cell from this wire after drying the silver epoxy.
