Hello! I'm wondering if anyone can help me. For my masters dissertation, I am looking how personality, particularly extraversion and introversion, may impact on responses to several communicative reactions in the current COVID-19 pandemic responses. I am a student and therefore it is difficult, if not impossible, to get hold of well established and recommended scales such as the NEO PI R, the MBTI, EPI and EPQ. The only scale that I have been able to access is the Big Five Inventory. I cannot locate or gain access to the original paper for the BFI in order to determine whether the extraversion scale measures high versus low extraversion, and whether the scale measures introversion (I.e whether the reversed items measure introversion or whether low scores on the non-reversed items reflect introversion). I have been unable to find the answer to this within other research, though I have found one paper that measured introversion using the BFI.

So - does anyone know if the BFI does measure introversion as well as extraversion? Or know anywhere that I can access the original paper for the BFI so that I can investigate myself? Alternatively, could anyone recommend an alternative scale that I could use that is freely available?

Thank you in advance!
