Hi all,

I want to measure Ca2+ influx through NMDAR. Is it fine to do Ca2+ imaging with TTX, Mg2+ free ACSF and add NMDA? Do I need to block voltage-gated Ca2+ channels (VGCCs) at the same time?

I find different ways in google. Some do not block them, someone add those antagonists. I am confused, which one is right?

Will VGCCs be activated if I apply NMDA in Mg2+ free ACSF which has TTX inside?

Thanks a lot.

Yu
