We are working on a system for precise measurement of heat losses from the body surface in an open measurement system in humans. Does anyone know a system for measurement of ambient temperature in a room (open system, no closed measurement environment) in a relation to the body surface of the measured subjects? E.g. 10 cm above the body surface? Any advice? Any ideas (also speculative) are highly appreciated. Many thanks, Julie

Infrared thermometer is a good idea. You can get the thermal imaging of a surface.
