AlLi (aluminum lithium) and AlBe (aluminum beryllium) alloy has wide application in aerospace/defence structural applications. What is the industrial practice of making these two alloys? Whether in vacuum or air melting?

Al-Be ssems more MMC than use as true alloy to me. (e.g. made with powder metallurgy)
