I am trying to take pictures on the microscope of brain tissue obtained from animals injected (direct delivery into the brain, not stained tissue) with methylene blue dye. When I section the brain tissue and place the sections on slides I am able to see the dye, however once I add mounting media and a coverslip the methylene blue dye disappears. Does anyone know how I can coverslip the samples in order to preserve the dye instead of having it dissipate out? In addition, does anyone have experience with H&E staining on tissue from animals that have been injected with methylene blue dye? Thanks!
