My setting includes rectangular wooden cages, each with a ground space of around 10 sqm. The gate's opening is approximately 1x1 sqm. Maize seed is offered inside and outside. Wild boar usually picks up some maize outside, but won't frequently enter the cage. I can't offer any lure other than maize, therefore I'd be thankful for other ideas how to lure them inside. Boar-catchers, please be welcome to share your experiences.
The experiment is part of my country's African Swine Fever (ASF) prevention campaign.
