Hi, I want to check genetic interaction between two genes in Saccharomyces cerevisiae by making a double deletion and look for the synthetic sick or lethal phenotypes on non-fermentative carbon source. Both the single deletion strain grow well on glucose. However one of the genes is essential when the yeast is grown in non-fermentative media but the other gene deletion strain show a minor growth defect under similar condition. How do we check for the genetic interaction between these two genes?
