interface, user defined s functions...how to simulate two models simultaneously in matlab?
Simulink allows one to call or include any S-Functions.

Simulink can interface to Matlab and Simulink models can be run in Matlab.
Hence any number of Simulations may be run at the same time.
If I have understood your question properly then what you mean is that that you the s-domain transfer functions defining your system and you need to simulate two models together. If you are looking for a solution in Simulink, then you can easily recall you project .mdl files just as you do modular programming. Similarly if you have something defined in MATLAB, you can call those variables in your simulink model if need be.
It is well explained here : https://sites.google.com/site/neplancontrol/ and in this case the call function from NEPLAN will be either for the exciter model, the load model or the Power system stabilizer model, "where If i recall correctly" the function will operate the matlab in execute mode with your required Simulink model !!!
