Muhammad Amjad thank you for your suggestion. Schlenk lines can be used to inject liquid or gaseous chemicals. For example we can use argon air pressure to inject a liquid in an inert atmosphere, but how can we insert an air sensitive solid compound in a flask avoiding air contact.

The best way to add an air-sensitive solid as the first reagent is to use a balance in a glovebox to weigh out the solid and put it in the flask, all under an inert atmosphere. Many air-sensitive solids are stored in a glovebox on a permanent basis.

A compound is classed as air-sensitive if it reacts with O2, water, N2, or CO2. Air-sensitive compounds must be isolated from the atmosphere and handled in a controlled environment. Typically, an atmosphere of nitrogen or argon is used.

To safely and effectively use these reagents, glassware should be oven or flame dried, then the air displaced with a dry, inert gas (often nitrogen or argon). This creates an "inert atmosphere" inside an apparatus, one that will not react with the reagents.
