I am currently in a desperate need of a group brainstorming and I thought I could use your help. I would like to develop an experimental model of human lung cancer and the aim is to test different macrophage based therapies. However, first I need to achieve a rapid increase of either all tissue macrophages or selectively increase of alveolar macrophages.
Could you please give me any ideas? In vitro/in vivo models/clinical trials?

Question... why? If you are trying to model lung cancer, shouldn't you just model that? Why do you need to increase tissue macrophages?
If all you need to do is to test the therapies on primary macrophages to see what would happen, I suggest you use bone marrow derived macrophages or if you want to use human macrophages, use PBMC derived macrophages.
