Strawberry is one of the most important fruit crop and its becoming more popular day by day. One of the most common problem faced in strawberry is very short shelf-life. once strawberries have been cut or hulled, it is often observed that mold and bacterial grow very fast resulting quick decay.
In remote ares refrigeration is also not all time feasible, is there any way to increase the shelf-life of strawberries for more than 7 days in room temperature so that transportation and marketing could be done more effectively. In my situation temperature does not go below 10 0C and relative humidity generally remains above 70 %.
