How to increase the porosity of PLA (Polylactic Acid) based composite?

i am working on Polymer based composites and developing PLA ( Polylactic Acid ) based composite for XYZ applications. When i observe the resultant composite on SEM i find the porosity only on surface not in full depth.

My aim is to develop porous composite.
