I am facing a problem regarding a de-adhesion problem with the coating. A brief description of my methodology is given below.

I am using mild or Low Carbon steel as a substrate and I polish the surface of the substrate with Silicon carbide paper to 320 grit size. After that, I do the sonication of the steel substrate with Acetone and clean it with Ethanol before applying the coating. I use Doctor blade for the coating. I am using EPON RESIN 815C with its curing agent EPIKURE Curing Agent 3234. I mix the coating with a ratio of (100:25). Usually, I prepare a coating with a thickness of 100 um.

Please give your suggestions to improve adhesion. Thank you in advance for your attention and guidance.

Please also suggest which coating method is better? Dip coating or Doctor blade?
