Dear all,

I have non fixed cornea samples freeze in OCT. We always put the sample in OCT and freeze it quickly (Yes, I know, we should wait, but it was not done this time.)

When I'm cutting those samples with a Cryostat, the cornea detached from the OCT and rolled over itself. We tried different temperature from -18C to -24C; we added more OCT on the sample, we changed orientation, etc. We were able to cut another sample without any problem, so the Cryostat itself is not problematic.

We really need to cut this sample, so we need to rescue it. Any suggestion?

Should we thaw, put it back in OCT, wait, and refreeze it?
