A couple of months ago I had submitted my manuscript in a journal paper but canceled due to English writings. I have already checked and not sure how to improve English writing.
I have seen that there are many online services which provide English checking service but those are very expensive.
What do you do before submitting a manuscript? Can you share your experience here?
Suggest you write short sentences. Avoid uncommon words. Keep on asking the question "am I clearly conveying the message?".
Yeah that sometimes happens. I dont know if that's because our English sounds difficult to be understood by native speakers, or there is a hidden agenda behind that rejection i.e. promoting their own language-checking services with hefty payment, I suggest you avoid writing long, complicated sentences.
@ Patrisius... Thank you, sir...I also think so. Because I submitted the almost same manuscript in another (same level) journal and it was rejected for the technical issues. I also think that there are some hidden agenda.
Have a look at REF-N-WRITE scientific paper writing tool. This tool allows you to import text from previous papers relevant to the subject area in MS word. While you are writing your paper, you can just search for similar statements from other authors and inherit their vocabulary and language to improve your paper.
