Hi, I am currently using Amos to perform SEM multi-group analysis. CFI and PCFI are less than 0.7 (around 0.69 and 0.61 respectively). I want to know how can I improve CFI value, except increasing sample size. I was focusing on combining variables which have shown high covariances, but this method didn't work very well.
(PS: my sample size is quite small, only around 50 per group. The model has 5 variables)

Well, one of the ways to improve it is 'Modification indices'. Since you have done with it and you could not improve it. You may need to revisit the number of items (and try some addition/deletion) based on the statistical and theoretical criteria.
