For checking of journal quartiles (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4) for the indexed journals in the ISI/SSCI one can check Master journal list and Journal citation report.

Journal citation report gives a classification for the quartiles.. I don't such classification is provided in the Master journal list

You can search from the web of science, Journal Citation Reports.

To get the quartile is as important as getting the Impact Factor(IF). Just do your normal calculation using facts from web of science- Total citations divided the journal's total number of articles published in the journal in one or two years. For example 5000 citations (very huge) divided by articles published in the journal say 61. It gives 81.97. Then that is a massively good journal in the 4th quartile. That's an average article published in such journal is getting atleast 81 citations (mentions) in one or two years depending on your calc by potential authors.

As indicated by Hamdi Al-Jamimi the Master Journal List of Clarivate will provide info on whether a journal is indexed in ESCI, SCIE or SSCI (but not its Q rating). For this you need the JCReport (it is released a couple of days ago, see enclosed file).

You should check Journal Citation Reports for AHCI/SSCI and Scimago for SCOPUS and ESCI. You had better disregard the information is given on the journal websites.

I think that you should check the list of editors of the journal. Q1, Q2, ... on Scimago do not reflect the quality of the journal. You should check the journal on WOS (web of science) https://mjl.clarivate.com/search-results. For example , Magazine of Civil Engineering is a Q1 journal. However, papers on this journal show low quality in writing. The H-index of this journal is very low (H-index=26). Case Studies in Construction Materials is another case (h-index=36) . Although two above journals are Q1 journals. However, they show much lower quality than Construction and Building Materials (h-index=198). Hope you and everyone have a best choice.@Cong Minh Huynh
