Lumerical: Why do the nx , ny , nz index for anisotropy material have unit (micron) option?

I'm doing P-MOKE simulation in Lumerical. When adding a new anisotropy material, beside of typing the nx, ny, nz index, there are unit (micron) option of the 3 index.

Are nx, ny, nz not the material refractive index along the x,y,z directions?
