Bhaskar ..... Mixing of solids is a real problem due to the lack of homogeneity. The best method to prove the homogeneity is to do a measurement on 2-3 samples from the mixture and see the response. For certain purpose we needed to mix PVC with other material. We analyzed two samples from the mixture by EDS. The analysis revealed the percentages of the elemental components (focusing on Cl). There should be no significant differences in the Cl contents of the various specimens. Any difference will indicate that the various portions of the mixture are not identical. If the material has some weight loss we may use TG curve to see whether the weight loss value from 2 or 3 specimens of the mixture are close to each other to be sure of the homogeneity... Good luck
