We are working on bacterial concrete, so while doing the preliminary study we added 5ml of Bacillus licheniformisl solution + 50g of CaCl2 made it to 1L of water after 3-4 hours it showed precipitation. After doing the same test a few days later no precipitation was found. We are expecting some type of contamination. Please explain the possibilities related to the aforementioned issue.

contamination could be a possible cause. However, you are the only one who could explain failure to precipitate in the second trial. Bacterial culture age, inoculum size and concentration, temperature, other essential constituents. Did you use urea???
