can I aks which kind of waveform you want to calculate? The air gap flux density?

It directly depends on the control of the machine. based on my experience, you can calculate the flux linkage (or inductance) for every position and different excitation currents. Then you can use the trajectory and obtain the flux linkake, current and torque waveforms. It is important to excite the winding when the torque is the biggest and decrease the current to zero before the negative torque will be produced. You can see pictures below.

if you need to calculate the magnetization characteristics of SRM, you can use FEMM software (it is free) "" http://www.femm.info/wiki/HomePage"".

There is an OCTAVE file that have a lot of functions to run the FEMM using MATLAB.

Basically, you will need

1. the motor dimensions

2. to define the material (steel type and B-H curve, lamination fill factor, lamination thickness, ....)

3. to define the coils (number of turns, way of connection)

3. to define the boundary conditions

after that you can rotate the rotor and calculate what ever you need
