we are working on SWAT model for ungauged river basin so for calibration purpose we required evapotranspiration data is required. Please tell me which satellite ET is suitable for calibration and how to calculate ET from that satellite images.
You can download NCEP daily global weather data with SWAT format from https://globalweather.tamu.edu/
If you are dealing with the scarcity of site specific ET values for calibrating SWAT model, then you can compute ET from meteorological data of weather stations closed to your ungauged river basin. There are many methods to compute the evapotranspiration as proposed by FAO.
Aside from a nice 250 m MODIS Evapotranspiration product, there are tools to generate ET under various methods using the GRASS i.evapo functions which are available in the OSgeo4w QGIS interface.
There is a METRIC program that uses LANDSAT data to calculate the spatial ETrF. METRIC is based on surface energy balance approach. There are number of publication on METRIC by its developer Dr Rick Allen and Ayse Kilic.
