Is there anyone researcher who can tell me that how we can generate excel/notepad file of FTIR spectra for X-axis and Y-axis values. After sample scanning, I found only FTIR spectra but not values of x and y-axis in the form of excel/notepad file.
Model: Bruker Alpha ATR-FTIR.

You can save your data in x-y format:
1. open the file-menu and select the Save File As
2. 3 tabs can be seen in this window: Select file, Mode, Data Point Table. Click to the Mode tab. The output format can be chosen here. You need Data Point of Spectra format.
3. Go back to Select File tab. You should choose the path where you want to save the file. Now you can save your data in x-y format.
I have given this option to save the file in excel format. But it does not convert.
This way you can save one file at a time, any idea on how to export a group of spectra?
Just as Anne stated, if you saved your work as data point table, you can assess the data in MS Excel by following the path: Data>From Text>locate the data file (.dpt format).
In some cases, you will not see any file in the location. If that happens, change the file type from "Text files" into "All files". Then, you should be able to see all your files in .dpt format. Select the required file and click import. A dialog box will pop up. Ensure to select delimited (in file type) and click next. Select Use "Tab" as delimiter and "None" as the text qualifier in the second dialog box and click next. Select "general" as column data format and click finish.
In Bruker the data acquisition happened through OPUS. So in Absorption (left side), click history then click ab and then file will open in x and y, where x is wavenumber and y is absorption.
and who to do it "several at once"? I can only do it one by one (opus format to point data table)
We have this device in our lab.when we export the data we found mismatching with the presented spectrum. I think it is approximated values. any one can solve this problem?
One software that easily solves spectra importation is Orange, which compiles a bunch of python scripts developed for spectra statistics.
Solution for my own question... and should be available as default in the basic instalation setup:
- In the Opus interface choose: File -> Visualbasic Script
- Select (opus directory)/Macro/opus2xy.obs file and execute.
- Now choose a folder with the opus format spectra and choose the destination folder were the files in table format will be stored.
Problem solved !
What about the easiest way: with optical spectroscopy software http://Spectragryph.com (free for academic use), you can simply load the binary Bruker files (*.0, *.1, ...). Once loaded, you have plenty of functions for visualization, processing and converting. Spectragryph also has batch export, and automation of processing sequences, allowing to convert 1000s of spectra within seconds, triggered with a single click.
Hello, we are able to export the data to a text file, but we would like to export the date and time when the scan was taken, is there any way to do that?
Does anyone know how can I save my data from IR OPUs as image ? because i need to report quckily of my 3 plots stacked in just one image! thank you so much
