I was doing research in the machining field. I am using the ANSYS software to predict temperature distribution during machining especially predict heat on the chip formation in micro milling process. Now I am facing a problem in using ANSYS software especially to generate program code. Anyone have expertise in this field want advice or share some knowledge?
The easiest way to do that is just to build your model once using GUI. Ansys will record/log the codes of all what you've done in a *.log file. Then you can use it, edit it, update it ......
What do you mean by program code. Do you mean Ansys apdl program.
you can create you own apdl program using the help
or you can find all the commands done by the user in the graphical user interface (GUI) in the log file (file ---> list-----> log file).
In ANSYS Help search for ' Verification Manual ' .Find mechanical APDL verification manual. You can find a lot of worked out examples in APDL code.Also there is a book "Finite element method and applications in engineering using ANSYS" by Erdogan Madenci and Ibrahim Guven. It has a lot of APDL reference. Hope these helps

Use the ANSYS Help as gives you some examples on the codes on its Mechanical APDL documentation, I assume you will have tried to edit your log files (files---> list---> log ). You can also use some examples in books like "Finite element method and applications in engineering using ANSYS" by Erdogan Madenci and Ibrahim Guven; and "Engineering analysis with ANSYS software" by Y. Nakasone, S. Yoshimoto and T.A. Stolarski.
