I am preparing a manuscript to submit to the journal Expert Systems with Applications. I have these instructions for the submission "It is mandatory that the full names, full affiliation with country and email address of every contributing author must be included in title (authorship) page of the manuscript. The first page of the manuscript should contain the title of the paper, and the full name, full affiliation with country and email address of every contributing author. The second page of the manuscript should begin with the paper abstract. Note that cover letter is not title (authorship) page." Does anybody know how I can achieve this result using the official LaTeX template of elsevier articles (elsarticle.cls)?

To produce a single LaTeX file with a cover letter first and the manuscript's title (authorship) page second, use the letter class for the cover letter and elsarticle for the manuscript. Insert the newpage command between them. Adjust with your details. This ensures the cover letter and manuscript start on separate pages.
Example:
\documentclass{letter}
\signature{Your Name}
\begin{document}
\begin{letter}{Editor's Name \\ Journal Name}
% Cover letter content
\end{letter}
\newpage
\documentclass[review]{elsarticle}
\begin{document}
\title{Paper Title}
% Manuscript details
\end{document}
