I was doing the Abaqus explicit model for a plain woven fabric where two types of yarns(PU&PA) were set as the weft and one type of yarn(PA) was set as the warp. When the load applied to the weft direction, the PA yarns in both warp and weft directions were overlapped and the yarns were cut into with each other, as shown in the attached photo.
I use the general contact with hard contact property and friction coeff of 0.1. I have also tried surface pairs and surface-to-surface contact, the result was still the same. Could anybody help me to solve this problem?

I had the same problem before. To fix it, you can reduce the amount of initial and the maximum steps. Also increase the mesh size of the wrap yarn.
I agree with Milad Razbin . Your mesh looks coarse, and the default initial step in ABAQUS Explicit is usually not small enough.
Moreover, I found that the yarns were modelled using block elements. This will lead to a much higher bending stiffness of the yarns compared to its real response (The actual bending stiffness of a yarn is usually very small).
