I am evaluating deformation behavior of porous block of 10*10*10.
For this i put this model between 2 plates. Stiffness behavior for plates I had given is rigid. Form the target node from top plate i put force. Their is no option for lower plate to fix as it is rigid. However, I tried the solution by giving displacement (0) to lower target node of plate. All bodies are meshed with bonded contacts as well. but no solution!! Is their any other option to try?
It is the fixity condition that actually defines rigidity.So, fix lower plate also by giving displacement zero and try

Although both the plates are rigid, fix all the translational and rotational boundary conditions for lower plate and expect the direction in which the upper plate is forcing fix all other directions for upper plate.

Can you share the image of geometry with applied BC's. It is not clear from the explanation mentioned above.
Is it a deformable porous block located between the two rigid plate (one at top and other at bottom)?

Can you clarify the ultimate goal of the analysis? I mean why do you consider putting two plates and not giving the load directly to the porous block?
