Might be due to my ignorance, I would like to ask a query. Is there is any big issue is here, you know how to find the entropy for an image I, downscale it and further find the entropy. Is there any other estimation is required here??? one thing I analyzed that the entropy probably will increase in the down sampled version. Please see the below matlab code :

@Huma Chaudhry : Okey...good..... Let ask one more query, are you looking to approximate the entropy in scale down version without directly calculating the same?
