I have designed a grid connected VSG inverter current controller while using LCL filter. I want to ask how to decoupling terms for LCL filter. In case of LCL filter only WL is decoupling term or WC is also involved in it, if WC involves, where to add it?
Filter decoupling means that the harmonics contained in the output voltage waveform will be attenuated to prevent it from injecting current in the grid.
The decoupling coefficient can be defined as Vo fundamental / Vo harmonics.
It is clear that the capacitor will increase the decoupling as it will reduce the harmonics at the output of the LCL.
Both wL and WC will affect the coupling coefficient.
By making circuit analysis one can relate the decoupling coefficient to L and C.

Inverter usually brings harmonics of greater order into the grid system owing to the inverter switch's nonlinear features.A LCL-type filter is linked to the inverter on the grid side in sequence to attenuate these introduced harmonics. It ensures that a defined threshold is below the harmonic content. The filter, however, creates additional energy losses that are undesirable.
