I am working on modeling the attached figure. There is a fully constrained (can't expand, can't elongate) thick-wall cylinder with P internal pressure (based on hyperelastic material). My aim is to find the pressure and the stress at the contact point relationship to calculate required force. I tried many different analytical solutions but many solutions are not in closed-form and hard to implement. I know it is a nontrivial problem for analytical solution, so I am working on FEM analysis. I just wondering is it possible to find an analytical model for this system.
