Culture filtrates of B. fabae were extracted with ethyl acetate and purified by chromatographic tecniques (Column Chromatography and Thin Layer Chromatography). Bioassay-guided fractionation allowed us to isolate a new metabolite named botrytone, together to other closely related naphtalenones .
