How to explain that the resistance after polarization is smaller than that before in Ion transference calculation ?

I am trying to get the Mg transference number of solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) by using DC polarization and AC impedance spectroscopy. I am using a symmetrical Mg/SPE/Mg symmetrical cell to polarize the cell at voltage 0.15 V. I measured the ohmic resistance before and after polarization, but the resistance after polarization is smaller than that before. I was wondering if anyone could explain why the resistance after polarization is decreasing
