I am looking for feedback on significant publications (environmental psychology, urban design, architecture and planning) since 2000, that could be used as directives.
Very interesting subject, however, I think the word "satisfaction" is a broad term, this term covers large number and wide scope of subjects, such as aesthetics, physical comfort (thermal and visual), and psychological ( mood changes, behavior).

Hello sir, if you are talking about the process of doing this, isn't it possible first to identify "contemporary architecture" in your country or the level of housing development or type of development in the subject high density urban housing situation. Afterwhich you will try to use the post occupancy index and survey the occupants in order to define your desired meaning for "satisfaction" in you research?
I would suggest identifying the specific features of contemporary architectural design based on a stratified random sampling method and then similar survey amongst users with a well-defined five or seven point satisfaction scale. The results could be analysed statistically using co-relation coefficient.
